CRAZY Busy Life Lately

Y'all! Life's been CRAZY lately! Brace yourself for a TON of pictures!

We celebrated Liam's 1st birthday! The weekend was far from perfect, but we survived! And we're so thankful for our happy, healthy 1 year old!

Nana came early to keep me sane and to help with the details! She's a silly girl (and had no idea I took her picture)!

Tyler put Liam's swing up...it's hanging from a tree in our backyard! He loves it, and he loves his daddy!

We decorated our church's social hall.

Then it was time to PARTY!

Liam loved his smash cake and the balloons!

Some of the aftermath of a 1 year old's birthday party...sigh. Did Toys-R-Us drop of an entire truckload at our house?!

That evening we surprised Tyler's mom with a party to celebrate her 50th birthday. We had a cookout, played cornhole, ate cake, played Catch Phrase, and had a time!

The next morning we dedicated Liam at church. We had so many special family members there! For that, we are thankful! We pray Liam grows to be a godly man who loves Jesus and others so much!

The next day- June 8th- was Liam's actual birthday. Our friends came with us, and we ate Hibachi! He wasn't too sure about the fire, but he loved the rice and chicken!

That week we played a lot with all his new toys and took walks to Fiesta.

We also went swimming, went to Dunkin' Donuts, and hung out with the puppies that week! Liam preferred to swing at the Berry's house rather than get in the chilly water!

June 15th was my birthday, and Liam snuggled with me! This is a HUGE deal in the Clem house because Liam is NOT a snuggler! He's got too many things to do! Busy, busy boy. So this MADE MY DAY!

After some awesome snuggles, Tyler came to kidnap me for a lunch date! We went to Outback first and had a great waiter who gave me a free chocolate covered cheesecake for my birthday. Cheesecake is one of my all time FAVORITES!

The week before we also bought me some new Chacos for my birthday! Tyler got some too so we decided to get me running shoes instead. So, it worked out well for us both!

After lunch and tennis shoe shopping, we went to get shaved ice...best shaved ice ever!

That evening our friends had us over for some strawberry shortcake, cake (with whipped icing-yum), and homemade chocolate ice cream! They know the way to my heart. And by the end of the day I was experiencing a MAJOR sugar crash!

The next day we had a wonderful play date and breakfast with The Breakfast Club. Liam got to play with the BIG KIDS! He loved it!

That afternoon, Liam had his one year (big boy) checkup! They had to give him some pretty bad shots and prick his tiny finger :( Rough day! But he's a champ! Plus, they gave him a blue sucker (and mouth) while he got his finger pricked, so it wasn't AS bad!

This past Saturday our WONDERFUL friend Janelle (and two of her kiddos) offered to babysit and give us a date night! It was SO needed! We ran to Walmart for some last minute things for our mission trip, ran by Zaxby's, then went to see Jurassic World. We had to have a small dinner so we could eat popcorn and candy! It was perfect! I love date nights with this guy!

On Sunday we celebrated Father's Day! I truly couldn't ask for a better earthly father. I have been SO blessed. He and I have such a great bond! He's selfless, loving, giving, kind, and is so much fun to be around!  I'm SOOOOO thankful for my daddy! Not to mention he's a ROCKIN' Gpa!

Also--this guy has far exceeded my hopes and dreams for a father for our son. I love to watch them play together, give hugs and kisses, and simply interact. I love that Tyler works so hard to provide for our family and is supportive of me staying home with our baby! He's truly a hero to us! We both love you to the moon and back!!!

One last thing...Liam is such a big boy that this week he started drinking whole milk and eating regular meals. We're almost completely off the bottle! It makes this momma heart sad, but I'm so thankful for a sweet, healthy, growing baby boy! And I'm trying to learn to Embrace the Mess that comes along with feeding a big boy! (More on that this Thursday on GLOW!)

Grilled cheese...yum!

Oh! And definitely the last thing this post (if you made it here, give yourself a standing ovation!)...Tyler and I leave with 22 other people this weekend for a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. Please pray for us and for those we serve next week! We will be doing kids' clubs, women's ministry, construction work, youth sports camps, and hopefully building solid relationships. We hope to continue serving this same community every year! We're EXCITED! I will certainly update you on that soon!

Have a wonderful week!

Life Lately

I've gotten quite a bit behind! I have a lot to update you on. Life lately has been GOOD.

Tyler, Liam and I packed up the car and headed to Tennessee a couple of days after my last update! It was WEDDING TIME! Travis (Tyler's brother) and Cassidy were gettin' hitched May 16th! All 3 of us got to be part of this SPECIAL weekend!
The beautiful bride-to-be!

To start the Bachelorette activities, the gals got our nails done! The CHAIRS are the best!

We surprised Cass with a limo that evening to take us to Arrington Vineyard for a picnic, which was LOVELY. Then we went to one of the girl's houses for hilariously fun games!

Friday was full of prepping for the big day! We set things up, arranged bouquets, and had the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner.

With the happy couple!

There was a little waterfall, and Liam loved it!

Happy with his Gare Bear!

We love our boy!

The big day arrived...it couldn't have been more perfect! Read more about it HERE!

These robes were PERFECTION. They were our bridesmaids gifts! We even wore them to the continental breakfast in the hotel :)

The GORGEOUS bride came down the aisle...

Trav had the BEST reaction I've ever seen! She literally took his breath away!

Mr. and Mrs. Clem!

My sweet little ring bearer!

I love my guys!

The ceremony truly made me fall more in love with Jesus and my hubby!

He was the perfect ring bearer! I can't get enough of him!

During the reception he got his GQ on and got comfy!

We got to see family we've missed so dearly! And whom we LOVE so dearly!

We were beyond thrilled to be part of this most incredible day!

After wedding festivities Tyler had to head back to SC, but Liam and I got to stay in Tennessee! I helped mom with selling merch at TSSAA events, which was such fun! Easy work while hanging with my momma is the perfect combo.
It was especially fun when this cutie came to visit!

Liam got to hang with grandparents

and eat at Burger King!

My little baby also got two more teeth, making his total 4!

Big boy in overalls!

Oh, the joy!

The next weekend Tyler had the opportunity to speak at Northside Baptist Church's youth camp. This was so much fun for us both! I actually grew up at this church and was part of the youth ministry under Nick, who is still the youth minister there! Everything came full circle, and it was so much fun! Praise God for all He did that week! I pray they all KNOW that they KNOW that they KNOW!

Introducing our babe to the youth of NBC! I'm SO proud of my husband!

Last Thursday our seniors graduated from Palmetto. This is always bittersweet! Oh, how I will miss this group of ladies! My heart hurts thinking about them leaving, but I know Jesus will use them to do AMAZING things in this world! I am so proud of each of them! I love you, girls!

I began making these particular bow ties for the 4th! Get your orders in to Bows by Andi ASAP! Email me at andi.clem5@gmail.com

This week has already been a blast! My friend (who might as well be my sister) Shannon and I finally got back to walking together. Things look a tad bit different than when we started. A few years ago it was the two of us, running at least 4 times a week (3 miles every day! I can't imagine doing that now). Then, I got pregnant and slowed down...I had Liam was out for a while. Then Shay got pregnant, and we fell off the wagon. She had Henry a month and a half ago, and here we are! Now with two strollers, two babies, and a lot more to push! (And a lot more joy, too!) I'm so thankful for this girl!

Henry & Liam. These two are going to be good buddies!

One last funny(ish) story for the day...yesterday I opened our front door and there was a HUGE (4, MAYBE 5 inches long) lizard on the INSIDE of our screen door. As you can tell by my cockroach experience, I don't do creatures. I immediately called Tyler about 5 times until he answered...because it's THAT important. "You HAVE to come home RIGHT NOW. I'm stuck in here and can't get out! There's a HUGE lizard on the INSIDE of the screen door!" I heard him snickering...then "I'm coming over...hey travis...*LAUGHTER* click" He summoned his comedian cohort, grabbed power tools and safety gear, and came to DESTROY the lizard. Ok, maybe just run it off, but still. They did it! My heroes. And they never hurt the lizard. These jokesters made my day...and made me laugh probably as much as I made them laugh!
Gotta love a crazy husband! Never a dull moment

This weekend is a FULL one! We have Liam's 1st birthday party Saturday and his baby dedication Sunday...as well as graduate recognition Sunday and a Dominican Republic fundraiser! I'll update you soon! My baby turns 1 MONDAY! ah! I can't believe it!

Have a wonderful week!

Weekend Recap

This weekend was full of fun! Friday little Liam turned 11 months old! WHERE HAS TIME GONE?! Look at this cutie!
At 11 months he is laughing all the time, clearly. He's such a little goober! He has two teeth--one on top and one on bottom. They interlock! Too funny. He is cruising along furniture but hasn't been brave enough to try on his own quite yet. He is obsessed with eating puffs! And eating in general, really. NO ONE can have food out unless they share with him...or he whines! He begs at my feet like a dog while I'm eating my breakfast! Parenting tips to help with this would be GREAT. He loves to read Goodnight Moon, Night-Night Forest Friends, and SPRING (a touch and feel book from Grammie). He loves our dogs! And he gets totally excited when you clap and cheer for him! He's getting SO BIG!

Friday night we went to Outback with some of our friend group to celebrate Megan and Sam returning from their honeymoon! However, Outback must think they're something, and they didn't get us in after we waited for quite a while. So we were divas, said PEACE, and went to Wild Wings. Holy YUM. So good! Liam was begging, of course! SO, he colored for the first time and ate some cheese fries. His day was made.

Saturday we hung out with these friends...

Shannon, Lesley (who came in to visit from Birmingham), and I went to Grits and Groceries for breakfast. If you've never been there and are local...GO! Two words: Praline bacon. WOAH. Party in your mouth!

Sunday was my first Mother's Day with Liam here! I've been thinking about Mother's Day this past week and have come to the conclusion that we should've celebrated last year! Life begins at conception, therefore I was FOR SURE a mommy last year too! My boys took care of me. They were so sweet! I walked into the kitchen Sunday morning to find this...
(p.s. don't judge my shades or paint color...they came with our church house! I need to change them...where's the time?)

I've been dreaming about Olive Garden's breadsticks and salad for a month now, so that's where I chose! After church, we loaded up and ate OG!
Liam LOVED my noodles. He was like a baby bird eating worms! He had olives, bread, AND pasta! Full course meal (mommy's kisses were dessert)!

Someone found the stickers...you probably automatically thought it was Liam...or Tyler. NOPE. This was mommy's doing. Gotta have a little fun, right?!

This guy helped make Mother's Day possible! Love him so much.

Oh, I could eat him, he's just so sweet! Thankful to be his mommy!

Yesterday we had a sweet lady from church drop off some freshly picked strawberries! She made my day!

She made Liam's day, too! Pureed fresh strawberries!

And to finish off the weekend, our Qalo rings came in! These rings are great for outdoorsy people, athletic people, and workout people...I'm none of these. However, Tyler and I are going with a group from our church to the Dominican Republic for a mission trip this summer. We will be laying some brick and working with concrete, so we are taking these instead of our original wedding rings! We love them! Check out their website here!

I hope you have a great week! Feel the sunshine, drink a cup of coffee, and wear your comfy pants!
