Pregnancy Powers

I think I gained a super power when we gained our child!

A couple of days ago Tyler and I decided to get a new mattress set. After all, we won't be sleeping much soon so when we do, I'd like to get some good sleep! Our old mattress was hard as a rock! We go pick one out, and as we're checking out, the lady and I got on the subject of being pregnant. She throws in our bed frame for FREE! Wow.

After this glorious event, last night I stopped by O'Charley's to get some of their YUMMY loaded potato soup to-go (oooo that sounds good right now as well...) I mean, this stuff is heavenly. Not to mention, they have some of the best rolls around! This awesome lady was working, and I walked up to the counter and said in a very sweet tone, "I'm having a pregnancy craving, so can I please have some loaded potato soup and rolls?" She looked at me with huge eyes and said, "OOOOO dear! I've got to get a move on this order! PREGNANCY CRAVING!" And she goes on and on and on...I'm giggling away!

She's super fast in getting my order together. She comes out from the back and says, "I threw in a few extra rolls so you and the baby are extra happy." I mean come on! How NICE!
Here's a picture of how she identified me on my ticket (hilarious):

Nice people are making this tiredness and sickness well worth my time! THANK YOU! Not to mention, we SEE our baby on FRIDAY. Wow :)

The Pickle Jar of Shame

The cravings we all think of when we think of someone being pregnant are "pickles and ice cream."

Being the pickle lover I am, I never thought those two cravings were weird...SEPARATELY. Now, if you crave those together, that's just weird!

I went to the store yesterday to pick up a few items for chili after we received the meat from the deer my fabulous husband killed a week or so ago (way to go, babe!). Venison chili. Sounds pretty good, but little did I know, I'd run into something that sounded even better!

I went to grab a jar of roasted red peppers and...BAM. There was the pickle aisle.

I think a light from Heaven shone down on this aisle as I stood there deciding which pickles I should get. Ok, maybe not. But in my head, yes! Ironically enough, regular pickles sounded okay, but BABY DILLS. OOOOOOO baby dills. I couldn't help myself.

I snatched those things up so fast, and checked out. When I got home, I was texting while eating those glorious pickles. Before I knew it, it became the Pickle Jar of Shame. I ate them ALL.

I could have just thrown away the evidence, but instead I confessed this escapade to Tyler who got a good laugh after saying, "The WHOLE JAR?!?!" Oh, what a laugh!

So there you have it. My first craving. And boooooy, was it tasty!

Baby Clem

Well...
We're pregnant.
We're pregnant?! How do we wrap our minds around this?!

One minute you're going throughout your day with nothing growing inside...then WHAM...there's a human growing in you.

Talk about a change.

I'm 3 weeks along at this point, but the exhaustion is already setting in. Growing a person is tiring work.

We discovered this surprising news on September 29th about an hour before church. It was incredibly hard to face our church family while keeping this huge secret inside (literally). We love our Calvary family. We feel incredibly blessed to have so many wonderful people around us as we're away from our families. Therefore, it was hard to keep the news from them!

We Skyped with our families Monday night...we will post a video with some of those reactions. We had such a blast!!! Everyone cannot wait to meet this angel!

Tyler and I went out for a celebratory dinner date Tuesday night October 1st. We bought our child's first gift: Jesus Storybook Bible. We can't wait to teach him or her about our incredible God!

I continually feel like I'm living in a dream. I've wanted to be a mom ever since I met my mom, so this is all very surreal.

We're praying that the Lord will take care of our sweet baby Clem and that he or she will be healthy. I already love our baby so much! We can't wait to meet our little Clementine! (haha!)

Please join us in praying for our baby!
