CRAZY Busy Life Lately

Y'all! Life's been CRAZY lately! Brace yourself for a TON of pictures!

We celebrated Liam's 1st birthday! The weekend was far from perfect, but we survived! And we're so thankful for our happy, healthy 1 year old!

Nana came early to keep me sane and to help with the details! She's a silly girl (and had no idea I took her picture)!

Tyler put Liam's swing up...it's hanging from a tree in our backyard! He loves it, and he loves his daddy!

We decorated our church's social hall.

Then it was time to PARTY!

Liam loved his smash cake and the balloons!

Some of the aftermath of a 1 year old's birthday party...sigh. Did Toys-R-Us drop of an entire truckload at our house?!

That evening we surprised Tyler's mom with a party to celebrate her 50th birthday. We had a cookout, played cornhole, ate cake, played Catch Phrase, and had a time!

The next morning we dedicated Liam at church. We had so many special family members there! For that, we are thankful! We pray Liam grows to be a godly man who loves Jesus and others so much!

The next day- June 8th- was Liam's actual birthday. Our friends came with us, and we ate Hibachi! He wasn't too sure about the fire, but he loved the rice and chicken!

That week we played a lot with all his new toys and took walks to Fiesta.

We also went swimming, went to Dunkin' Donuts, and hung out with the puppies that week! Liam preferred to swing at the Berry's house rather than get in the chilly water!

June 15th was my birthday, and Liam snuggled with me! This is a HUGE deal in the Clem house because Liam is NOT a snuggler! He's got too many things to do! Busy, busy boy. So this MADE MY DAY!

After some awesome snuggles, Tyler came to kidnap me for a lunch date! We went to Outback first and had a great waiter who gave me a free chocolate covered cheesecake for my birthday. Cheesecake is one of my all time FAVORITES!

The week before we also bought me some new Chacos for my birthday! Tyler got some too so we decided to get me running shoes instead. So, it worked out well for us both!

After lunch and tennis shoe shopping, we went to get shaved ice...best shaved ice ever!

That evening our friends had us over for some strawberry shortcake, cake (with whipped icing-yum), and homemade chocolate ice cream! They know the way to my heart. And by the end of the day I was experiencing a MAJOR sugar crash!

The next day we had a wonderful play date and breakfast with The Breakfast Club. Liam got to play with the BIG KIDS! He loved it!

That afternoon, Liam had his one year (big boy) checkup! They had to give him some pretty bad shots and prick his tiny finger :( Rough day! But he's a champ! Plus, they gave him a blue sucker (and mouth) while he got his finger pricked, so it wasn't AS bad!

This past Saturday our WONDERFUL friend Janelle (and two of her kiddos) offered to babysit and give us a date night! It was SO needed! We ran to Walmart for some last minute things for our mission trip, ran by Zaxby's, then went to see Jurassic World. We had to have a small dinner so we could eat popcorn and candy! It was perfect! I love date nights with this guy!

On Sunday we celebrated Father's Day! I truly couldn't ask for a better earthly father. I have been SO blessed. He and I have such a great bond! He's selfless, loving, giving, kind, and is so much fun to be around!  I'm SOOOOO thankful for my daddy! Not to mention he's a ROCKIN' Gpa!

Also--this guy has far exceeded my hopes and dreams for a father for our son. I love to watch them play together, give hugs and kisses, and simply interact. I love that Tyler works so hard to provide for our family and is supportive of me staying home with our baby! He's truly a hero to us! We both love you to the moon and back!!!

One last thing...Liam is such a big boy that this week he started drinking whole milk and eating regular meals. We're almost completely off the bottle! It makes this momma heart sad, but I'm so thankful for a sweet, healthy, growing baby boy! And I'm trying to learn to Embrace the Mess that comes along with feeding a big boy! (More on that this Thursday on GLOW!)

Grilled cheese...yum!

Oh! And definitely the last thing this post (if you made it here, give yourself a standing ovation!)...Tyler and I leave with 22 other people this weekend for a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. Please pray for us and for those we serve next week! We will be doing kids' clubs, women's ministry, construction work, youth sports camps, and hopefully building solid relationships. We hope to continue serving this same community every year! We're EXCITED! I will certainly update you on that soon!

Have a wonderful week!
